Can I log into Titan GPS during this time?
We expect that access will be intermittent for all users and drivers during the maintenance window.
What if I’m able to access Titan GPS and log in during the maintenance window?
If you log in and use Titan GPS during the maintenance window, you may experience interruptions and could lose unsaved work. We highly recommend waiting until the maintenance has been completed before making changes to the Titan GPS application during this maintenance window.
Will I lose any data?
No, any previously saved or data generated by Titan GPS during this maintenance window will be available as soon as service is restored. Any data stored on your Titan GPS hardware during this maintenance window will be sent to Titan GPS as soon as it is online and can connect again.
What if I have devices installed in assets that have been operating offline for a long time?
If you have devices that have been operating offline for more than a week at a time and you are concerned that the storage on the device may be exceeded during the maintenance window, we recommend that you bring the assets into coverage within the week before the maintenance window to fully dump any stored data to Titan GPS.
Are there any devices that will lose data during the outage?
Yes, some devices are unable to store data when Titan GPS services are unavailable. This may result in data being lost during this scheduled maintenance period. Once the scheduled maintenance is completed, these devices will automatically resume reporting to the system. Any data received before the maintenance window will be available within the platform.
The impacted devices are:
- TT1SPSAT Mini
- TT1SPSAT Solar
- TT1SPSAT
- TT8000 Series
- TT3000
- TT2000OBDII
- TT2000INT
- TMS200
- CAMS TruLink
- SPOT
- TT6000’s with Iridium that are reporting over Iridium during the maintenance window
- Note: Cellular data will still be stored and forwarded when they return to coverage.
What if an incident occurs during the maintenance window?
GPS and Camera hardware with the ability to store data are designed to forward collected data once they can contact Titan GPS. If an incident occurs and you are concerned that the data may be overwritten before the maintenance window is completed, we recommend completely disconnecting power from the device and waiting until the maintenance window is completed before powering the device on again. Once the maintenance window is complete, power up the device and wait until the data is transmitted to Titan GPS.
Can I uninstall the FieldDocs application during this time?
Please do not perform any uninstallations of the Titan GPS FieldDocs application during this maintenance window. This could result in any un-synced data to be lost.
Will the API be available?
API connections to the Titan GPS API may be intermittently interrupted, but the data will be automatically available again once maintenance is completed. Once service is returned, most API calls to Titan GPS should retrieve any of the data captured during the maintenance window automatically. If you do notice any gaps in your data from the maintenance window, we recommend running our historical APIS to pull the missed data.
What will happen to my alerts?
Alerts may be delayed during the maintenance window. This includes all Custom, Standard or Service Alerts and any Titan GPS FieldDocs notifications, including HOS notifications.
Will I receive my scheduled reports?
Yes, you will receive any reports generated during the maintenance period shortly after all maintenance is completed.
How will I be notified when the maintenance has been completed?
Once scheduled maintenance is complete, we will send an email notification and the Titan GPS Login banner confirming maintenance is complete and service has been restored.
What documents will my drivers need during this time?
We recommend drivers have a copy of their previous logs as required based on the driver’s active cycle. These logs can either be printed or available via email during the outage. Drivers can obtain the required previous day logs through the application.
If you have any additional questions that were not answered here, please reach out to your account representative or contact us at [email protected]. Thank you for your patience during this period of interruption.
